Naples (1-1.5 hours by train)

Tivoli (40 minutes by train)

Just east of Rome, Tivoli is known for its Renaissance gardens at Villa d'Este and the ancient ruins of Hadrian’s Villa—a relaxing option for a day immersed in Italian history and landscape.
